17 March 2005. Corvus Version 2 replaces Corvus and the page that adapts Corvus to 1:1200 scale. (Corvus v2 includes some new features and and also the information on the page which adapted Corvus to 1:1200.)

01 March 2003 Put the first picture in (on Ancients page). Likely to get replaced as my digital photography skills leave a bit to be desired at present. Slight re-arrangement of home page. Added a couple of links and attacked a probable bug in some internal links.

23 February 2003 Uploaded Kilsyth DBR scenario and more blurb. Also changed internal format of the e-mail link. Uploaded PDF versions of "Corvus" & "Warband" and added download links. Wrote yet more blurb. Added a few more external links. Added "Myth" to fantasy page. Put in description and keywords in home page to aid search engines. Later added links to Adobe site for people to get Acrobat Reader and a bit of blurb on the "new" (updates) page. Added guest counter and discussion forum. Very late - added 3 scenarios for Warband and started a FAQ page.
22 February 2003 Upload of bare bones of site started - no rules PDFs as yet, most of the "blurb" text not yet on. Could not upload with FrontPage Express so used CuteFTP. Put on the Wigan Lane scenario later.

Note This site has been prepared with slow connections in mind, and also quick initial development. This is why you may not see too many graphics in the first few incarnations of it. This site is intended primarily to support and publish my own wargames rules.
Ancient History
February 2003 - Found a copy of "The Complete Idiot's Guide To Creating a Web Page", 5th edition, by Paul McFedries. The book looked readable and had been reduced in price, so I bought it. I also started reading the help files on the Telewest Broadband (aka Yorkshire Cable) web page. It confirmed that they offered some software tools. Spent a week or so skimming through the book.. I should have realised before that you prepare a pages on your own PC and use the web browser to look at them. Tried out FrontPage Express (supplied as part of the Telewest package) and having a first attempt at doing what was to be the home page. Decided I did not like it and that I needed to have another go.
Very late 2002 - Started approaching people who I thought might be able to help me prepare a web site. Put it off until after Christmas. Was told that it wasn't as hard as I thought.
Late 2002 - Started to look for existing websites to put my rules on. Also noticed that my internet provider Telewest Broadband (aka Yorkshire Cable) offered free space on their server for a private web site. Could not at that time work out how to do it.
Mid 2002 - Working temporarily at an organisation which gave its staff access to the internet. Could use it for your own interest during lunchtimes. I then decided to get an internet connection at home (dial up). Was originally on a pay by the minute tarif, but then decided that the monthly flat fee was a better option for me.
Early to mid 2002 - I was not on the internet and was very cautious of it. Had a vague idea that it might be possible to put my rules on it as a low cost way of publishing them as freebies.
